Using the Telford & Wrekin Admissions Portal

In order to submit an application, you will need to follow the below process:

 

  1. Firstly you will need to visit the School Admissions website: Parent Portal: Home (telford.gov.uk)

 

  1. Click on Sign In or Create Account.
    1. You will need to create an account, please use an email address that you have access to.
    2. You will then complete some personal and contact details.
    3. You will be required to set a password.
    4. Once complete you will need to verify your email address.

 

  1. Once you have verified your email address you will need to sign into your account. Your username is your email address. Once logged in you will be taken to the home screen.

 

  1. To complete a school application please click on Add Child.

 

  1. Complete the child form, at this stage you will be able to upload any supporting documents that you may have. Once you have uploaded any documents, please press Next.

 

  1. Please check that the child’s details are correct, and press Continue.

 

  1. You will now be able to apply for a school place.

 

  1. You will be asked to check your child’s details, then click Next.

 

  1. You will be asked to complete additional information about your child. Please check that the additional information that you have submitted is correct.

 

  1. Click Continue and you will be taken to the school preference page. You are able to search for a school by name, but you must click the search button, do not press enter.

  

  1. Select the schools that you want to add to your application. You will be taken to the preference reason page. Please click on the reason that you would like this school and any additional comments. Then click Next.

 

  1. You will then be taken to supporting evidence page where you will be able to add any specific supporting documents for your application relevant to this school.

 

  1. Please check that your preference details are correct before clicking continue.

 

  1. You will then be asked if you would like to add an additional preference. We recommend that you submit 4 different school preference to maximise the possibility of being offered a place at one of your preferred schools.

 

  1. Please check your preference summary carefully. If you are happy with your preferences, please click on review and submit.

 

  1. You will be required to select the tick box to state that you have read the disclaimer. It is important that you then submit your application.

 

  1. You will see a message when you have successfully submitted your application and you will also receive an email.
